Cleansing the Temple: Guarding God’s Dwelling Place | Sunday Service — September 27, 2026 | Pastor Dale
When Jesus entered the temple in John 2:13–22, He found a place intended for worship being used for greed and personal profit. With righteous anger, He overturned the tables of the money changers and drove them from His Father’s house.
In this message, Pastor Dale explains why Jesus’ actions matter far beyond the walls of the Jerusalem temple. Scripture teaches that God now dwells within His people. We are His church, and our lives are meant to reflect His holiness.
If we belong to Christ, we cannot treat sin and compromise casually. The things we allow into our hearts, the way we live, and the choices we make matter because we represent the One who lives within us. Yet when we fall, God remains merciful. Through Christ, we can confess our sins, receive forgiveness, and be cleansed again.
This message challenges us to protect God’s dwelling place, live wholeheartedly for Him, and let His light shine through every part of our lives.
