In “The Sword of the Spirit,” Pastor Dale continues the series on spiritual warfare and the Armor of God by examining the believer’s weapon against the enemy: the Word of God.
Drawing from Ephesians 6:10–17, Hebrews 4:12, and John 1, Pastor Dale explains that God’s Word is living, powerful, and true. When Satan attacks through temptation, fear, guilt, discouragement, or deception, believers can resist his lies by standing on what God has said.
Just as Jesus answered Satan with Scripture during His temptation, Christians must know the Word so they can recognize what is false and respond with truth. The Bible guides us, strengthens us, and prepares us for the spiritual battles we face.
When we know God’s Word, we do not have to surrender to the enemy’s lies. We can take up the Sword of the Spirit and stand firmly in the truth of Christ.
